Eyelid Correction in Your 40s: Improving Eye Function for Healthier Eyes
Explains how drooping eyelids in your 40s can affect vision and the under-eye area, and how lid surgery, midface lift, or laser treatment may help.

Eyelid Correction in Your 40s: Improving Eye Function for Healthier Eyes

Did you know that drooping eyelids can also affect your eyeballs?
Have you ever thought about this question? ^^
As we age, starting in our 30s, the skin begins to sag and the eyelids can droop as well. This sagging around the eyes leads to wrinkles, and as the eyelids gradually droop, they can ruin an existing double eyelid crease.
When drooping eyelids cover the eyeball and block your field of vision, problems such as declining eyesight can gradually develop, often in ways you didn't expect.
For this reason, drooping eyelids are more than a minor inconvenience. Thinking that a little discomfort in daily life is no big deal can underestimate the problems they may cause, which is why eyelid correction is needed to improve the condition.

Why you shouldn't leave drooping eyelids untreated!
With forehead wrinkles and rapid age-related changes such as presbyopia, it becomes all the more important to improve both eye function and eyelid appearance. Eyelid correction performed before it's too late can deliver meaningful improvement.
Eyelid Correction in Your 40s: Upper Blepharoplasty | Lower Blepharoplasty | Subbrow Lift – Individualized Results Possible
As we age, along with drooping eyelids, the fat that builds up under the eyes becomes more noticeable, making the area beneath them stand out. Lower blepharoplasty is an effective surgery for improving the resulting skin sagging.
Fat that settles and bulges under the eyes creates uneven contours, which can also lead to dark circles. Pigmentation, dilated veins, and lymphatic circulation disorders may also be contributing causes.
When dark circles form and cast shadows under the eyes, they change the overall look of the face and make you look tired to anyone who sees you.

If fat under the eyes is the cause, lower blepharoplasty can be performed through the inner conjunctiva (the inside of the lower eyelid), so it leaves no scars on the skin. Depending on individual conditions, however, a skin incision may be required.
If sagging cheeks are the cause, dark circles may reappear even after lower blepharoplasty.
If that happens, the cause may be sagging cheeks rather than fat under the eyes. In such cases, sagging cheek tissue with reduced skin elasticity can be lifted through a midface lift, or improved with fat grafting.
If pigmentation is the cause, laser treatment may help improve the condition. However, depending on the underlying cause and individual differences, results may not appear after a single session, so multiple treatments may be necessary.

Regardless of age, we believe everyone shares the same wish: to maintain a beautiful, youthful face for as long as possible.
Unlike areas that are hidden from view, drooping eyelids are the most noticeable feature of the face. Eyelid correction in your 40s can help you achieve more beautiful eyes, and it can deliver both aesthetic and functional improvements at the same time.
